We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as Assistant Sales Manager, GTS Energy & Materials.
Reporting to the Regional Head of Energy & Materials, GTS, you’ll support Senior Sales Managers through client engagement, transaction preparation, sales analytics and collaboration with stakeholders across the bank.
In this role, you’ll:
- Support Senior Sales Managers with day-to-day client engagement, profitability calculations, call reports and ad hoc activities
- Draft credit memos and annual reviews relating to structured transactions
- Participate in client calls, with opportunities to lead discussions as your experience develops
- Work with Middle Office, Client Services and Operations to ensure client queries and service requirements are handled efficiently
- Collaborate with relationship bankers, Portfolio Management, Credit, Legal, Compliance, Tax and other internal stakeholders
- Review legal documentation relating to vanilla and structured finance transactions
- Build expertise to support HSBC’s strategic priorities and growth initiatives
- Conduct sales performance analysis using CRM and income-reporting tools, including CME and Omnia
- Identify revenue trends, missing fees or charges, and coordinate appropriate corrective action
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Knowledge of global trade finance products and market solutions
- An understanding of commodity markets and their participants
