As part of the expansion of our team responsible for integrating energy management systems, we are looking to hire an Energy Portfolio Specialist.
Key responsibilities:
Contribute to the implementation of the company's energy portfolio with the aim of cost optimization and risk minimization.
Monitor, analyze and forecast energy consumption and market prices across different markets (day-ahead, intraday).
Prepare production and consumption schedules.
Track balancing market performance and propose solutions to optimize imbalances.
Prepare regular analyses, reports and recommendations regarding the company's portfolio strategy and market trends.
Submit and process data in the specialized platforms of the Electricity System Operator and the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange.
Maintain communication with traders, partners, operators and energy service providers.
Participate in the development of forecasting models and risk management strategies.
Contribute to the development of pricing strategies and models, including process automation.
Participate in the company's daily trading activities on the energy markets.
Monitor regulatory and legislative changes in the energy sector.
Requirements :
Higher education in Economics, Energy, Engineering or a related field.
Professional experience in the energy sector, electricity trading, portfolio management or energy markets is considered an advantage
Solid understanding of electricity system processes and market structures
Ability to analyze macroeconomic, regulatory and market factors affecting energy prices
Understanding of business process automation principles and the use of software tools for analysis and modelling
Excellent command of Excel and information systems
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large data sets
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
Initiative and a proactive approach
Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
Good command of English
