This opportunity would suit a confident and commercially minded solicitor who is looking for flexibility while becoming part of a supportive and growing practice.
You will be expected to manage your own caseload independently, provide a high standard of client care and contribute to the continued development of the Family Department.
We welcome applications from SRA-regulated solicitors with at least 2 years' PQE and experienced CILEx practitioners specialising in Family Law.
Ideally, you will have experience across a broad range of family law matters, including:
• Divorce and financial remedy proceedings, including HNW matters
• Child arrangements orders, including live-with/contact, specific issue and prohibited steps orders
• Domestic abuse matters, including Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders
• Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
• Separation and cohabitation agreements
• Private law children matters, including internal and international relocation
• Public law children matters and care proceedings – desirable but not essential
• Consent orders and enforcement applications
• Drafting statements, applications and court bundles
• Conducting advocacy at appropriate hearings
• Advising clients on mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution
• Managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision
• Delivering clear, sensitive and client-focused legal advice
About You
The successful candidate will:
• Be an SRA-regulated solicitor or suitably qualified CILEx practitioner with strong Family Law experience
• Be confident managing matters independently from initial instruction through to conclusion
• Have excellent technical, drafting and client-care skills
• Be highly organised, meticulous and able to manage competing deadlines
• Communicate complex and sensitive legal issues clearly and empathetically
• Have a proactive and commercially aware approach
• Be interested in contributing to the growth and development of the department
• Have an existing client following or referral network – advantageous for consultant applicants, but not essential
• Have Russian language skills – advantageous, but not essential
What We Offer
We can offer a flexible arrangement depending on the successful candidate's experience and preferred working model, including:
• Part-time employed or consultant solicitor opportunities
• Flexible and remote working
• A friendly, collaborative and supportive working environment
• Opportunities to develop your practice and professional profile
• Scope to play an active role in the growth of our Family Department
• Referral opportunities
• Competitive remuneration, to be agreed depending on experience and working arrangement
If you are an experienced Family Solicitor looking for greater flexibility and the opportunity to work with a growing City of London practice, we would be pleased to hear from you.
