We pick the code from the advert's text, so it is our best guess, not the employer's. Each code it could be has its own likelihood:
New graduate or PhD holder? Pick one of the lower rates.
| Occupation code | New entrant 70% of going rate | STEM PhD 80% of going rate | Relevant PhD 90% of going rate | Standard rate 100% of going rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
2422 Finance and investment analysts and advisers Most likely code | £33,400 | £36,700 | £41,200 | £45,800 |
2421 Chartered and certified accountants Also possible | £34,500 | £39,400 | £44,300 | £49,200 |
3534 Financial accounts managers Also possible | £33,400 | £44,700 | £44,700 | £44,700 |
We use the lowest threshold across the plausible codes. Likelihood is Possible at most when the pay clears only a lower rate, or only under a less likely code. How the Home Office picks the code
Ambition has no passport. That belief is why LemFi exists. We're the financial engine for people the world wasn't built to serve, the millions who move countries to build something better and find the financial system hasn't caught up with them yet. We started with remittances: the money people send home to the people they love. Now we run multi-currency accounts, Savings, eSIMs and Credit. Because staying connected to home and building somewhere new are not two separate things. They never were.
LemFi is building the financial home for the world's immigrants - multi-currency accounts, remittances, savings, credit and eSIMs across 21 countries and growing. Strategic Finance sits at the centre of that growth: we hold the forecast, challenge the numbers and make sure leadership and investors see a clear, honest picture of the business.
This is the first hire into the FP&A function, reporting directly to the Head of Strategic Finance and FP&A. You will own the full engine: the integrated model, the monthly forecast and BvA cycle, the management pack, and investor and lender reporting. Your numbers go in front of the Board, our investors and our lenders. You will work hand-in-hand with department heads across Growth, Product, Operations and Risk, and have direct exposure to the executive team on commercial and strategic decisions.
Run the monthly forecast and integrated three-statement model - cash runway, revenue, headcount and provider costs - keeping every model reconciled to actuals and documented to a standard anyone can follow.
Own the BvA cycle end to end: gather commentary, challenge variances, and hold budget owners accountable for their numbers every single month.
Produce the monthly management pack and KPI reporting for the executive team and Board, and prepare investor and lender reporting including covenant and facility tracking.
Partner with budget owners across Growth, Product, Operations and Risk on their plans, forecasts and spend - be the finance voice that pushes back with data, not just a service desk.
Build robust business cases for new products, corridors, markets and partnerships, including scenario and sensitivity analysis for leadership and the Board.
Support fundraising, M&A modelling and diligence as needed - your models will be in the data room.
Pull, structure and automate recurring data from NetSuite, the data warehouse and operational systems, using AI where it saves you time and improves accuracy.
3-5 years in FP&A, strategic finance, transaction services or a modelling-heavy consultancy role (Big 4, strategy or deals).
Excellent three-statement modelling skills: driver-based forecasting, scenario and sensitivity analysis, built cleanly and to best-practice standards.
Solid accounting foundations: you can link P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, and reconcile a forecast to the ledger without hand-holding.
Strong data skills and confidence with large datasets; comfortable pulling and structuring data independently.
Clear, direct communicator: you can explain the numbers to non-finance stakeholders and push back where the numbers do not support a decision.
High ownership and attention to detail - you do not wait to be asked and you do not let things fall through the cracks in a fast-moving environment.
Capital markets exposure: equity fundraising, debt facilities, investor reporting or M&A diligence.
Experience in payments, remittance, lending or another regulated financial services business.
NetSuite, BI tools, SQL or automation experience (Python or similar); professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA).

The offer must clear both the general threshold and the SOC 2422 going rate of £45,800. New-entrant and shortage discounts can lower it.
