SOC 2451 (72% match) is an eligible occupation, with a going rate of £47,600, and BCA Landscape is a licensed sponsor. That is our reading of the rules. Whether they issue a Certificate of Sponsorship is still their call.
This could also be SOC 3429 (Design occupations not elsewhere classified) or SOC 2452 (Chartered architectural technologists, planning officers and consultants). We read the code off the advert, so it is our best guess, not the employer's.
New graduate or PhD holder? Pick one of the lower rates.

BCA Landscape are looking for a new team member to join our Liverpool office.
We are an award-winning practice, creating distinctive places that connect people with each other and with nature. Since 1984, our work has combined creative design with a commitment to sustainability, inclusivity and the expression of the narrative of each community and place we work with.
Our projects span public realm, parks and gardens, education, residential developments,
heritage and community regeneration. We work collaboratively with clients, communities and design teams to create landscapes that make a positive difference to people’s lives.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys exploring new ideas, digging into the details and seeing their work make a positive difference. If you’re curious about what makes a place special and enjoy sharing ideas with the people around you, we’d love to hear from you.
Ideally, you’ll have around two years’ experience working in a landscape practice or a similar design environment. However, we recognise that experience comes in different forms and welcome applications from candidates at a range of career stages. The position could suit a graduate with workplace experience, an assistant or junior landscape architect, or someone ready to join us as a landscape architect.
The role
You’ll contribute to projects through design development, drawing production and project delivery. Your responsibilities will reflect your experience, with opportunities to build your knowledge and take on greater responsibility as you progress by:
· Developing landscape proposals and preparing drawings in Vectorworks.
· Producing presentation material, reports and supporting project information.
· Assisting with planting design, material selection and technical detailing.
· Working alongside colleagues and the wider design team.
· Supporting site visits and project coordination where required.
About you
We’re looking for someone who has:
· A qualification in landscape architecture or a closely related discipline.
· A working knowledge of Vectorworks.
· Ideally, around two years of relevant workplace experience although not essential.
· Excellent design skills and an interest in how landscape proposals are built.
· A thoughtful, thorough approach, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
· Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
What we offer
You’ll join a dedicated team of landscape architects and designers, with opportunities to work closely with experienced colleagues and contribute to a varied portfolio of projects.
You’ll develop your skills across different aspects of landscape practice, helping to create
places that bring together design quality, environmental value and the needs of the people who use and maintain them.
The final role title, responsibilities and salary will be agreed to reflect the successful candidate’s experience and capabilities.
How to apply
Please send your CV and a portfolio, along with a short introduction explaining your experience and interest in joining BCA Landscape, to [email protected]

Not necessarily. BCA Landscape holds a sponsor licence, but sponsorship for a specific hire is always the employer's decision. Be upfront in your application that you'll require it.
The offer must clear both the general threshold and the SOC 2451 going rate of £47,600. New-entrant and shortage discounts can lower it.
