About the role
Summary and purpose of the Job:
We are seeking a driven and results-focused Business Development Manager to join our expanding Public Sector team. This role is 100% new business focused, ideal for a motivated sales professional with experience in the Wavenet portfolio and a strong understanding of public sector procurement frameworks.
Working remotely with the support of a high-performing team, you will take full ownership of identifying and converting opportunities, managing your own pipeline, campaigns, and strategic approach across a defined vertical and product set.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Focus exclusively on new business generation within the public sector.
- Create and manage a personal 30-60-90 day success plan, with ongoing reviews.
- Define and target a rolling list of 100 accounts in a preferred vertical and product area.
- Own and manage your activity in HubSpot – including admin, forecasting, tasks, and campaign execution.
- Collaborate with the wider team on joint campaigns and go-to-market strategies.
- Lead the development of marketing initiatives such as webinars, roundtables, and larger events targeting high-growth verticals.
- Profile, identify, and engage early-stage opportunities, working with suppliers to build awareness and solution alignment.
- Uncover key routes to market and navigate public sector governance to position Wavenet’s differentiators effectively.
- Establish yourself as a subject matter expert or work towards a specialised area where Wavenet can achieve market leadership.
The successful candidate will have:
- A strong track record in new business sales, with demonstrable ability to open doors and disrupt existing conversations.
- Deep understanding of public sector frameworks (e.g. RM6116 NS3, RM6100 TS3, YPO, G-Cloud).
