Are you a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner looking to develop your career in perioperative care? We're looking for a dedicated Recovery Practitioner to join our Theatre team, providing outstanding patient care throughout the surgical journey.

What you'll be doing

As a Recovery Practitioner, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care by:

• Monitoring and caring for patients following surgery and anaesthesia.
• Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual patient care.
• Working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Ensuring patients are safely prepared for discharge following recovery.

Maintaining high clinical standards, patient safety and infection prevention practices.

Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to the ongoing development of the department.

Participating in clinical audits, governance activities and quality improvement initiatives.

What we'll look for in you

To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Have

• Registered Nurse Level 1 (NMC) or Registered Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
• A minimum of 2 years' experience within an acute clinical environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to prioritise workload and remain calm under pressure.
• A flexible, positive and patient-focused approach.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
  
  

Desirable

• Advanced Life Support (ALS) qualification.
• Teaching, mentoring or assessor qualifications.
• Experience within pre-assessment services
