Role Description The Refrigeration Mechanic role is a full-time, on-site position based in Glasgow. The mechanic will install, commission, and maintain commercial and domestic refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including display fridges, freezers, and bespoke cooling units. Daily tasks include performing diagnostic checks, identifying faults, and carrying out repairs to ensure reliable and energy-efficient operation. The role involves completing scheduled preventive maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and maintaining accurate service records. The mechanic will also liaise with customers on-site, follow safety procedures, and work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality outcomes on projects of varying scale.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve mechanical and refrigeration issues efficiently.
- Good understanding of Electricity, including safe working practices with electrical components and controls.
- Experience with HVAC systems, including installation, commissioning, and performance optimization.
