About the role
We've raised over $200M from top-tier investors including Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, 20VC, Hummingbird and Collaborative Fund, alongside strategic angels including Nico Rosberg and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify and Uber.
We're building a fully integrated energy company: developing our own solar, batteries and other generation projects, building our own hardware, improving and developing grid infrastructure, trading power in real time, using AI across the business, and installing distributed energy in homes. By selling directly to consumers we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass the savings on to our customers.
We're looking for an exceptional Robotics Engineer to build autonomous robotic systems in real-world environments. This role sits at the intersection of robotics, machine learning and systems engineering. You'll work across the full stack, from research, planning and control systems through to deployment, and should be equally comfortable in research, training machine learning models and delivering a robot to the field.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and deploy autonomous robotic systems.
- Develop planning, perception and control systems using modern machine learning and robotics techniques
- Research and implement state of the art approaches in embodied AI, transformer architectures, reinforcement learning and robot learning
- Integrate sensors, actuators, perception systems and control frameworks into robust production systems
- Help define the long term technical direction of Fuse's robotics programme
- Strong experience building and deploying robotic systems in real-world environments
- Competitive salary and eligibility for equity
- Biannual bonus scheme
- Fully expensed tech to match your needs
- Private health insurance
- Breakfast and dinner allowance for office-based employees

Does this job guarantee visa sponsorship?
Not necessarily. Fuse Energy holds a sponsor licence, but sponsorship for a specific hire is always the employer's decision. Be upfront in your application that you'll require it.
What salary is needed for this role to be eligible?
The offer must clear both the general threshold and the SOC 2129 going rate of £46,100. New-entrant and shortage discounts can lower it.
