About the role
We are a leading utilities infrastructure contractor specialising in district heating, energy and water networks. Delivering projects across London and the UK, we combine civil engineering and mechanical expertise to provide complex infrastructure solutions for major public and private sector clients.
Due to continued growth and a strong secured order book, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a flagship £16m infrastructure project in North London, providing a unique opportunity to join a growing business and play a key role in its future success.
This role offers a clear pathway into Contracts Management and Operations leadership as the business continues to expand. We are looking for an individual who wants to grow with the company and play a key role in delivering our future projects.
About the job: Roles and duties.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take full operational, commercial and contractual responsibility for the successful delivery of a major £16m utilities infrastructure project. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team through all phases of delivery from construction through commissioning and handover and will be responsible for the following duties.
- Lead a multidisciplinary delivery team including Site Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and specialist subcontractors.
- Client account management.
- Report to the Contracts Manager / Commercial Director any risks, opportunities, and any mitigation strategies required to maintain the project completion date.
- Develop, update, and implement the Project Execution Plan, the Construction Phase Plan and the Health and Safety Plan to include all stakeholder requirements and interfaces.
- Take full ownership of the construction programme, ensuring progress is monitored, delays are mitigated and recovery plans implemented where required.
Requirements: Experience and/or education requirements.
- Minimum 10 years' experience delivering major civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure projects in a senior management capacity as Principal Contractor.
- Strong technical, commercial and contractual management capability.
