SOC 2440 (85% match) is an eligible occupation, with a going rate of £56,500, and ADVANCING ANALYTICS LIMITED is a licensed sponsor. That is our reading of the rules. Whether they issue a Certificate of Sponsorship is still their call.
This could also be SOC 2131 (IT project managers, Focus on IT/data project delivery with Azure DevOps, Jira) or SOC 1139 (Functional managers and directors not elsewhere classified, Programme manager title and multi-stream initiative management). We read the code off the advert, so it is our best guess, not the employer's.

Who Are We?
Advancing Analytics are a market leader in delivering bleeding edge analytical solutions for customers all over the world. To thrive in today's market, businesses need to implement AI and Analytics built on a solid, reliable Data Platform, and we are looking for you to help us build it!
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who brings strong commercial thinking, thrives in ambiguity, and excels when the playbook is evolving. You’ll be able to partner with senior client stakeholders as a trusted advisor, be comfortable challenging both engineers and executives when needed and you’ll enjoy shaping new ways of working rather than inheriting rigid ones.
You’re likely to be a Senior PM, Programme Manager, or Delivery Lead within data or technology consulting, motivated by impact and influence, and frustrated by slow, bureaucratic delivery models.
Beyond technical capability, you’ll bring honesty, empathy, and a genuine passion for data. You believe in sharing knowledge widely both internally and with the broader data community.
Required Tools and Technologies:
Experience working in a consultancy or client-facing environments
Proven ability to manage multi-stream initiatives with senior stakeholders
Strong commercial awareness (scope control, risk framing)
Experience delivering cloud, data or analytics platforms
Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub projects or similar, to develop and manage a backlog.
Other experience we like, but isn’t essential:
Familiarity with modern data platforms, including Databricks or Azure.
Exposure to AI-assisted engineering or automation delivery
Understanding of Data Lakehouse architecture and implementation patterns
Skills and Approaches:
Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Agile or Scrum.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to help customers and team members prioritise workloads, so that they maximise delivery value.
Facilitation of scrum ceremonies, such as Sprint Planning, Playbacks, and Stand-ups so that communication is open between stakeholders and the delivery team
Identifies and mitigates risk quickly and clearly, while working with the team to overcome blockers.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback and implementing lessons learned.
What will it be like to work for Advancing Analytics?
In this role, you’ll lead multiple high‑impact data programmes, introduce outcome‑based tracking frameworks, and help evolve our internal delivery model for AI‑accelerated builds. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders while also shaping how we package and position our delivery capability commercially.
We are a small company and encourage everyone to have a voice within our collaborative and inclusive team from day one.
As a consultancy with strong partnerships across Microsoft, Databricks, AWS, Sigma, Tabular Editor and dbt Labs, you’ll get hands-on access to some of the most exciting technology and learning opportunities in the industry. We know this market moves quickly, so we invest in our people for the long term, giving you the space to build real expertise, keep developing, and stay ahead of what’s next.
We’re also genuinely active in the wider data and AI community. That means speaking at events, sponsoring major industry moments like Big Data London, and showing up at some of the biggest stages in the space, including Databricks Data+AI Summit, Data+AI World Tour, and the Global AI AgentCon London.
We encourage our team to get involved in the community, whether that’s in the form of a personal blog or an initiative you are passionate about advocating, we will support you!
Aside from offering a competitive salary, we have a great set of benefits and perks including, but not limited to:
Industry matching Maternity & Paternity policy 🐣
Private Medical & Dental Care plus Eye care schemes 👁️
Health & Well-being fund 🩺
25 Days Annual Leave, Birthday Leave & Charity Leave 🌴
Frequent away days with the team 🚃
Annual Bonus Scheme
Flexible Working Hours
Electric Car Scheme 🚗
Our company values define us:
🚀 Advancing – the projects that get us all out of bed are challenging and push the limits of what is currently possible. We work on the bleeding edge and challenge the analytical industry daily.
🌈 Come as you are – we are an inclusive company. When you work with us, rest assured you're working in a safe environment.
❌ Zero burnout – too often technology teams are worked too hard or stretched too thin. We have seen it happen, and we never want to be a company that pushes our staff to breaking point.
🌱 Greta Goal – we only have one planet, let’s look after it.
📚 We all level up together – we have each seen the benefit that being part of a developer community can have, it is transformational. We invest in our communities, you will find us organising meetups, conferences, and events. When we are not organising, we are helping, speaking, mentoring, or sponsoring.
💡Transparency – We are big believers that there are no secrets in Advancing Analytics, and we try to live this day to day.
Equal opportunities for everyone
At Advancing Analytics both diversity and inclusion are a priority. We are all committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to be their authentic selves.
We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer; all applicants will be considered without regard to age, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, veteran status, neurodiversity or disability status.
This role profile is intended to provide an overview of the responsibilities and qualifications required for the Senior Project Manager role. It is not an exhaustive list and may be subject to change to meet the needs of the organisation.
This description is the source posting as it read when we added it. We are not affiliated with ADVANCING ANALYTICS LIMITED, so check their own site for the current details.
The range sits inside the market's middle half (£45,968–76,128), so this is typical pay for the occupation.
Not necessarily. ADVANCING ANALYTICS LIMITED holds a sponsor licence, but sponsorship for a specific hire is always the employer's decision. Be upfront in your application that you'll require it.
The offer must clear both the general threshold and the SOC 2440 going rate of £56,500. New-entrant and shortage discounts can lower it.
