Job Summary:
We are looking for a senior SAP Solution Advisor to lead the shaping and winning of complex SAP transformation opportunities.
You will own the solution strategy from initial client engagement through to contract signature. You will work directly with senior business and technology stakeholders to understand their priorities, challenge their thinking and design solutions that deliver measurable business value.
The role requires deep functional expertise across SAP Sales / SD (Order-to-Cash), Supply Chain Management and Procurement, combined with strong knowledge of the wider SAP landscape.
You will lead complex presales engagements across SAP S/4HANA, Cloud and transformation programmes, including M&A, divestments and SAP carve-outs. You will work closely with Sales, Delivery, SAP and strategic partners to build compelling, commercially viable propositions and convert them into successful engagements.
This is a senior role. You will be expected to operate with significant autonomy, lead from the front and provide credible advice to clients, sales teams and SAP stakeholders.
Duties/Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Support and Service Design:
- Own the SAP solution strategy for complex and strategically important opportunities.
- Lead client discovery, requirements definition and solution shaping.
- Design end-to-end SAP solutions aligned to business objectives, technical requirements and commercial constraints.
- Lead RFP/RFI responses, proposals, demonstrations, solution presentations and executive pitches.
- Lead workshops with senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Provide deep functional expertise across Sales / SD (Order-to-Cash), SCM and Procurement.
- Connect functional requirements across the wider SAP landscape, including Finance, Manufacturing, Integration, Data and Analytics.
- Develop solution estimates, scope and commercial assumptions with Sales and Delivery.
- Challenge requirements to improve the solution, reduce risk and increase customer value.
- Own solution quality through the sales cycle and ensure a clear transition into delivery.
Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy and Enablement:
- Shape and execute the SAP GTM strategy across existing and target customers.
- Identify opportunities for SAP transformation, optimisation, Cloud adoption and business process improvement.
- Work with Sales to identify, qualify and shape opportunities before formal procurement.
- Represent the SAP practice in strategic customer engagements, industry events and partner activities.
- Work with SAP and strategic partners to develop joint propositions and opportunities.
Solution Advisory and Customer Engagement:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology leaders.
Internal Collaboration and Practice Development:
- Provide senior solution leadership across the SAP practice.
- Mentor and develop Solution Advisors, Architects and other presales professionals.
- Set standards for solution shaping, discovery, estimation and proposal development.
- Work with Delivery to ensure solutions are realistic, commercially viable and deliverable.
- Act as a senior point of escalation for complex solution and presales decisions.
Key Qualifications:
- Significant experience in SAP presales, solution advisory, solution architecture or SAP consulting leadership.
- Deep functional expertise in SAP Sales / SD (Order-to-Cash), SCM and Procurement.
- Strong understanding of the wider SAP S/4HANA and Cloud landscape.
- Proven experience leading complex SAP opportunities from discovery through to contract signature.
- Experience designing and presenting complex SAP solutions to senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of SAP transformation and migration strategies, including S/4HANA Public and Private Cloud.
- Experience across multiple industries and complex enterprise environments.
- Experience with M&A, divestments, carve-outs or business separations is highly desirable.
