Priory Hospital Altrincham is seeking a Sessional Therapist – CAMHS CBT to join our team. This is a self-employed, sessional role offering flexibility around the centre’s needs and your availability.

Why join Priory as a Sessional Partner?

At Priory, you’ll be part of a compassionate, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based care that helps people move forward with confidence and build healthier, more fulfilling lives.

You will play a key role in patients’ recovery, contributing to assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic delivery, while working within strong clinical governance frameworks.

• Credibility & trust – work under the nationally recognised Priory brand
• Clinical and admin support – access to clinical space, billing, and administrative support
• Flexibility – choose the days and hours that suit you
• Team connection – the independence of self-employment without professional

What you'll bring to the role

CBT, Integrative Therapy, EMDR, TF-CBT, Family Therapy, or other specialist modalities.

You will:

• Hold professional registration with HCPC / UKCP / BABCP / BACP / NCPS / BPC / ACAT / ACP (as appropriate)
• Have a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgement and excellent communication skills
• Be confident working within clinical governance frameworks, including digital systems, concise clinical notes, and attendance at risk management meetings

Accreditation:
Accreditation with a relevant professional body is required. In certain circumstances, we may consider applicants who are working towards accreditation, provided this can be completed within 12 months of appointment.

What we will give you in return

Starting out or expanding in private practice can feel daunting. Partnering with Priory removes much of that burden while preserving your professional independence.

Practical details:

• Competitive sessional rates with active patient flow
• Autonomy – you manage your own caseload
• Flexible workload – typically 8–15 sessions per week (more or fewer by choice)
• Hybrid working – on-site sessions with the option to continue online where appropriate
• Background checks – DBS and regulatory checks covered by Priory
• On-site benefits – free or discounted parking and subsidised meals at many locations

If you’re committed to making a difference and want to work flexibly within a supportive, professional environment, we’d love to hear from you.
