What do the Software Testing team do?
Working as part of a team of Software Testers, you will gain an understanding of how each Randox analyser works by operating them in accordance with user and software specifications. Using this knowledge, you will develop and execute tests to ensure the analyser software performs correctly to specification under normal, abnormal and failure induced operating conditions. You will participate in multi-disciplinary meetings with software developers, hardware engineers, scientists, and project managers to ensure the software test suite is appropriate and complete to the high-quality standards necessary for certification of medical device software. You will also test standalone software applications related to analysers. Software testing may involve both manual testing and automated testing methods.
Location: Fully onsite - Randox Science Park, 30 Randalstown Road, Antrim, BT41 4FL.
Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent.
Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week, either 5 days, 8.40am to 5.20pm or 4 days 6.40am to 5.20pm.
What does this role involve?
This role is responsible for the verification of software of engineering products, as well the supervision of the software testing team. The main duties of the role include:
- Liaise with Engineering and R&D teams to determine current and future test requirements to plan and coordinate resourcing for each project.
Who can apply?
Essential criteria:
- Qualified to degree level in a software related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a Software Test environment.
Desirable criteria:
- Experience working in in a regulated environment.
- Experience using ALM/PLM tools to track, trace and deliver the testing of Software Requirements
- Experience in the use of bug tracking software such as SpiraPlan, JIRA, Azure DevOps, Zephyr
- Experience in the use of automated test software tools such as Ranorex, Playwright, Selenium, Test Complete
- Ability to develop source code/scripts with at least one programming language.
- Knowledge of IEC 62304 software lifecycle, ISO 14971 risk management, ISO 13485 quality systems and IEC 62366-1 usability engineering or comparable standards for other regulated sectors.
