About the role
SolarWinds Technical Contractor - 6-Month Contract
I'm recruiting for two SolarWinds Technical Contractors to support an observability improvement programme in Durrington. This is an excellent opportunity for hands-on specialists to improve enterprise monitoring, strengthen service visibility and help deliver proactive infrastructure management.
You'll work alongside infrastructure, application and service management teams to enhance monitoring across Windows and Linux environments, supporting both legacy and modern platforms hosted on VMware infrastructure.
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
- Strong hands-on experience administering and configuring the SolarWinds Orion Platform.
- Onboard servers and devices into existing monitoring solutions.
- Design, configure and optimise monitoring, alerting and event management.
- Install SolarWinds agents and improve monitoring coverage across the estate.
- Troubleshoot monitoring issues and carry out root cause analysis.
- Identify opportunities for alert optimisation and automation.
- Support ServiceNow integration improvements and CMDB alignment.
- Assist with APM, DEM and Azure monitoring initiatives.
- Maintain operational documentation and monitoring standards.
Essential Skills:
- SolarWinds Orion administration and configuration.
- Windows Server administration.
- Linux administration and monitoring.
- Event management, alerting and automation.
This is a 6-month hybrid contract, with office attendance requirements to be confirmed.
