I'm working with a leading international bank looking to appoint a Technical Product Owner to support the development of its UK Corporate Transactional Banking proposition.
This is an opportunity to join a significant investment programme, helping shape and deliver the technology platforms that enable corporate clients to manage their accounts, payments, cash and liquidity.
With an 8-figure sum being invested over three years, you'll play a key role in building and enhancing the underlying banking capabilities, working closely with product teams, architects and engineers to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Transactional Banking, you'll sit within the Transformation Technology function, taking ownership of the technology backlog and helping deliver capabilities across the corporate banking landscape.
The role offers genuine scope to influence technical decisions, shape solutions and work autonomously within a flat, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Own, refine and prioritise the technology backlog, translating business priorities into clear epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Work closely with Corporate Banking product teams, solution architects, engineers and operations to shape and deliver technology solutions.
Support the development of transactional banking capabilities across areas such as core banking, ledger and accounts, cash and liquidity management, payments and corporate digital banking.
Translate banking products, processes and client journeys into clear technical requirements and deliverable outcomes.
Coordinate dependencies across core banking platforms, APIs, integrations, payment infrastructure and digital channels.
Balance client value, commercial priorities, operational resilience, regulatory requirements and technical considerations.
Contribute to agile delivery, backlog refinement, solution design and continuous improvement.
Candidate Criteria:
We're keen to speak with candidates who combine a strong understanding of Corporate Banking with hands-on experience in technology product ownership or delivery.
You'll ideally have:
Experience within Corporate Banking, Transactional Banking, Cash Management or Core Banking. Corporate Banking experience is essential.
A background as a Technical Product Owner, Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, Business Analyst or in a similar technology delivery role.
Experience delivering technology supporting at least one relevant banking capability.
The ability to translate banking products and processes into clear technology requirements.
Experience working with engineering teams, solution architects and platform teams.
An understanding of banking technology architecture, APIs, integrations and the interaction between core banking platforms and digital channels.
Experience managing backlogs, requirements, dependencies and priorities within agile delivery environments.
Experience with core ledger platforms, banking transformation, legacy modernisation, UK payments, corporate digital banking or API-led architecture would be particularly valuable.
