SOC 2455 (80% match) is an eligible occupation, with a going rate of £44,300, and WSP in the UK & Ireland is a licensed sponsor. That is our reading of the rules. Whether they issue a Certificate of Sponsorship is still their call.
In 2025, WSP in the UK & Ireland assigned 12 or more Certificates of Sponsorship for SOC 2455 jobs, according to the Home Office.
This could also be SOC 3549 (Business associate professionals not elsewhere classified, Advert welcomes policy/management consulting backgrounds; role is advisory freight consultancy work) or SOC 1241 (Managers in transport and distribution, Freight planning could be seen as managing transport operations). We read the code off the advert, so it is our best guess, not the employer's.

Our projects cover the full breadth of freight and logistics, including logistics infrastructure (freight corridors, lorry parking, terminals and ports), freight decarbonisation (vehicles and supporting infrastructure), urban logistics (kerbside management, last‑mile solutions, modal shift), and logistics planning (construction logistics, operational concepts, masterplanning and strategy).
We invest in your development, offering a dedicated business mentor, access to structured internal CPD, and full support through your Chartership journey (where applicable)
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate…
- A genuine interest in shaping the future of freight and logistics systems, including the role of policy, technology and innovation.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience applying quantitative or structured approaches to complex, real‑world challenges.
