About the role
To support the Ward Sister/ Charge Nurse by undertaking administrativetasks relating to staff development and training, staff sickness,communication, operational processes.The post holder must have a good knowledge of the Infection Control Policyand abide to the guidelines therein. The post holder must report breaches of Infection Control PolicyTo act as a key point of liaison within the ward for nursing staff and otherinternal/external health professionals - a key position fundamental to the day to-day operation of the ward.To contribute to the efficient management of the ward environment in order to enhance the experience of patients in the hospital.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential
- GCSE English Language Grade c or above or equivalent
Desirable
- RSA 1 & 2
- Business Studies - NVQ level 3 or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Experience in an administrative position.
- Experience working in a busy environment.
Desirable
- Experience in a customer focused environment
- Previous experience in a health care setting
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
Essential
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with multi-disciplinary team, patients and carer's in English
- Demonstrates knowledge of/has experience of staff management
- Ability to write clearly and legibly in English
- Knowledge of Data Protection Act
Desirable
- Proficient in use of all Microsoft packages, including excel, minute taking and report writing.
- Has experience and understanding of budgeting with ability to indicate variances.
- Understands principles of infection control
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

- Ability to work required shift pattern

- Required to travel across site when required.
