Role Purpose: We are looking for an experienced hospitality leader to join our leadership team as Chief Operating Officer. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will run the company day to day and lead our growth in hospitality, our primary market, starting with the cruise sector, then hotels and airlines. This is a senior, hands-on role in a lean and growing company.
What You Will Do: Lead executive conversations with cruise lines, hotel groups and airlines, and support the CEO in winning new enterprise clients.
- Lead marketing, brand, website, social media and outbound campaigns.
- Run day-to-day operations, manage the company’s external accountants, and oversee bookkeeping, VAT and management reporting.
- Co-deliver PCM certification programmes and oversee international programme delivery.
- Help build the foundations for the company to scale.
What You Will Bring:
Essential
- Senior leadership experience in hotel operations within the cruise industry, at shipboard and/or head office level (for example, Hotel Director or equivalent).
- Senior General Management experience in hotels or resorts, with accountability for profit and loss, operations and people.
- Human resources and change management experience within the hospitality industry.
- Credibility and experience in engaging senior executives, including Chief Executive and Chief Human Resources Officer level, within cruise and hospitality organisations.
- Experience of managing budgets, financial performance and operational reporting.
- Experience of leading large, multicultural teams across multiple regions.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally for client meetings and programme delivery.
Desirable
- Experience of marketing, brand, digital or commercial communications.
- Experience of designing or delivering learning, leadership development or certification programmes.
- Experience in the airline industry or the wider travel sector.
- Experience of working with public sector, blue light, technology or charity organisations.
- A degree or professional qualification in hospitality, business or management.
- Certified PCM Practitioner (SCARED SO WHAT), or a commitment to obtain certification within the first six months of appointment.
