Senior Staff Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse to join Nottingham CityCare's Community Nursing Team. This post is offered as a secondment opportunity/fixed-term contract ending on 31/08/2027.

A senior Nurse role at CityCare typically involves providing high- quality person centred care supporting patients with complex needs, and leading and supporting other members of the nursing team. The role combines clinical expertise, leadership, care coordination and a commitment to improving patient care.

Essential

• Up to date general clinical knowledge
• Current knowledge of Local. Regional and National policies
• Evidence of continuous professional development
• Effective communication skills, verbal and non-verbal
• Able to record accurately, clearly and concisely
• Involvement in Research and Audit
• Experience of supervising and supporting health professionals
• Evidence of previous experience of mentoring and Preceptorship
• Ability to work as an autonomous practitioner
• Evidence of working with external agencies and networking skills
• Teaching experience
• Effective team working
• Basic IT skills
• Ability to work autonomously

Desirable

• Development of services to meet community needs
• Presentation skills
• Knowledge or experience of audit, evaluation and research

Qualifications

Essential

• RGN RN
• Level 1 on the NMC register
• Mentorship Qualification
• 2 years community experience

Desirable

• Post graduate qualification in delivering training

• Experience of team working and caseload management
• Evidence of good interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse population
