Solutions Architect

Insight Global are seeking an EDA Solutions Architect / Technical Lead to support a global data centre consolidation and infrastructure migration programme for a large multinational technology and engineering organisation, with a particular focus on Electronic Design Automation (EDA) environments.

This position is fully remote, supporting environments across France and Italy, for a 6-month initial contract, with potential for a 12-month extension.

This is a hands-on technical leadership opportunity rather than a project management role. The EDA Solutions Architect / Technical Lead will assess complex infrastructure environments, define migration strategies, develop infrastructure sizing and capacity recommendations, and provide architectural oversight through migration and post-migration stabilisation.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Strong background in enterprise infrastructure engineering, architecture or data centre operations.
• Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure migrations and data centre consolidation initiatives.
• Hands-on experience supporting Electronic Design Automation (EDA) environments, including an understanding of EDA workload characteristics and infrastructure requirements.
• Strong knowledge across compute, storage, networking, virtualisation and enterprise infrastructure platforms.
• Experience conducting workload assessments and producing server, storage, capacity and infrastructure sizing recommendations.
• Ability to independently assess existing environments and translate findings into actionable technical migration and execution plans.
• Experience identifying application and infrastructure dependencies, migration risks and technical constraints.
• Experience working with global infrastructure, storage, network and operations teams.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills and the ability to present technical recommendations to both technical teams and leadership.

Plusses Include:

• Experience supporting semiconductor, engineering or High Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
• Experience with infrastructure modernisation involving high-compute and high-storage workloads.
• Knowledge of data residency, data sovereignty and regional compliance considerations within multinational environments.
• Exposure to Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) environments.
• Experience supporting infrastructure migrations across multiple international sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical assessments of current EDA and data centre infrastructure.
• Assess compute, storage, networking and application dependencies to determine migration readiness.
• Define target infrastructure requirements and capacity recommendations.
• Develop practical migration strategies and detailed technical execution plans.
• Assess data residency requirements to identify workloads that must remain in-country.
• Provide architectural guidance from discovery and planning through cutover and stabilisation.
• Partner with implementation teams during workload migration and consolidation.
• Identify technical risks and dependencies and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
